  • There are no minimum educational requirements for this occupation. Most hunting and fishing guides acquire their knowledge of wildlife through experience. Although there is no formal training program for hunters, guides must pass a Hunter Safety course and acquire a mandatory Type 04 Sportsman license from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
